“The value of long and deep relationships is particularly evident during times of uncertainty. With a strong shared focus and close cooperation with our customers, we can together constructively take on both acute and long-term challenges,” notes Dr. Christian Koroschetz, Chief Sales Officer at AP&T.
The ability to quickly overcome unforeseen obstacles has been put to the test during the pandemic. The restrictions on travel and in-person visits have spawned new ways for AP&T to help customers secure their production. By increasing global remote support and expanding the responsibilities of regional organizations around the world, it has been possible to maintain a high level of service.
“While we have to be agile and solution-oriented here and now, it is also important to take a long-term approach. To always be one step ahead in order to see how we can help our customers continue to be profitable and competitive in the future. As a minimum, this is about developing processes, products and production solutions that help decrease the impact on the climate and the environment. Sustainability is at the center of the transition that is taking place in practically every corner of the industry,” says Christian Koroschetz
Always being focused on the future can introduce both risks and possibilities.
“We have decided to be the global leader in a number of different business areas. An inherent part of this is to dare to invest heavily in innovation and development, which we often do in close cooperation with select customers. We are now seeing that the investments we made in product and process development a few years ago have turned into successful commercial solutions, for example our servohydraulic press, our advanced automation machines and our technologies for hot forming of high-strength materials.”
Here at AP&T, we refer happily and often to our concept of One Responsible Partner® to clarify our role in the customer relationship. At first, this meant the simplicity of being able to order a turnkey production line from a single supplier. From there, it was easy to expand it to take on full responsibility as an integrator of lines that can also include machines from other suppliers. These days, the concept has expanded even further.
“As One Responsible Partner®, we actively contribute to our customers’ success in every way we can. With development resources, expertise, technology and services, we aim to create conditions for the best possible lifetime performance and peace of mind. To succeed in a competitive global market, it is key that we meet the future together.”
AP&T’s view on its business relationships also appears to be well-received by its customers. Last year was one of AP&T’s best order-intake years ever.
“Yes, when I ask our customers why they choose to work with us, One Responsible Partner® is almost always part of the answer,” says Christian Koroschetz.
