When pump manufacturer Grundfos decided last year to update their maintenance staff’s knowledge at their manufacturing facility in Serbia, they contacted AP&T Global Training. In December 2019, approximately two days of training focused on press maintenance were conducted under the guidance of AP&T trainer Andreas Kronstedt at Grundfos’ factory in Indjija, northwest of Belgrad.
“The training was truly rewarding and useful on a practical level. At first, we thought it was going to be rocket science, but Andreas Kronstedt knows how to explain even the most complicated concepts so they’re easy to understand. If we were to rate him, we would give him a five out of five,” says Rade Kozomora, PM Specialist at Grundfos Serbia.
The five AP&T presses were installed at the Indjija facility when it was built in 2013. Since then, a number of new maintenance employees have come on board and a number have retired, making it necessary to fill up the machinery knowledge bank.
“To get the most out of our courses, I always try to deliver the contents in a way that takes varying participant needs into consideration. And naturally, it’s great when it works out and is appreciated,” says Andreas Kronstedt.
Press maintenance training is just one of the many courses in the extensive AP&T Customer Training program that was launched in 2019.
“Not only do we offer standardized training, but we also offer customized training for various levels of operators, setters and maintenance staff. Our classes combine theory and practice and are taught in small groups. They can be taught in English, German, Chinese and Swedish,” says Milena Bialkowska, Global Training Developer and Coordinator at AP&T.
The goal is to provide customer staff with the knowledge they need to ensure safety and to manage the machines to keep them running efficiently throughout their life cycle and to minimize the risk of production interruptions.
“More and more customers are taking advantage of our training. Anyone who is interested in our program is welcome to order our course catalog,” says Milena Bialkowska.
